See more details All About Honey Bees All About Honey Bees May 4, 2024 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Learn about the natural history of the honey bee, their role in the environment, and the joys and challenges of raising bees with Jeffrey Hamelman, local acclaimed apiarist. Jeffrey has been a beekeeper for 42 years and is excited to share his love of these amazing insects. We’ll examine bees under a microscope and taste local honey! Sun printing is an easy way to capture botanical shapes! All you need is water, acrylic paint, paper, some plants or botanicals to print, and sun! Prue grew up working with her father in his flower shop. As an undergrad, she majored in art and music and and went on to earn a Masters in Horticulture. After retiring from academia she returned to her art practice. Much of her work focuses on depicting botanical subjects through various print-making methods. -- RAIN DATE = SAT.
