The Hartland Public Library offers programs and reading materials for children of all ages! The library maintains a wide collection of books including board books, picture books, leveled readers, early chapter books, graphic novels, and books for advanced readers. Weekly Programs
Tuesday Story Time
10:30 – 11:00 AM
Join us at the library where we’ll read books and play together! Each week we’ll explore different themes of books. Recommended for age 0-5, but all are welcome. Books read during story time count toward 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
Saturday Story Time
10:00 – 10:45 AM
EVERY Saturday we will explore a different theme through reading and activities. We’ll read, make crafts, create experiments and play games. Saturday Storytime books and activities are designed with preschool and early elementary ages in mind, but all are welcome. Join us each week for something new and fun!
Make It!
Thursdays, 2:45- 3:45 PM
Join us afterschool every Thursday for different arts, crafts or projects. We’ll explore new themes each month, and try something different each week! Program does not meet on Hartland Elementary School vacation or half days and begins the first week of September.
September Theme
Books: Each week we will create our own books such as a journal, comic or mini or a book accessory!
October Theme
Monster Month: Every activity will have a monster theme!
Monthly Programs
Play Group with the Family Place
1st Wednesday of the Month, 10-11:30 AM
Join us at the library for monthly playgroup with The Family Place! Come for playtime, games, and crafts. You’ll meet other families and make new friends! Open to all parents and caregivers and created for children ages 5 years and younger. All families are welcome!
Little Locals Music Circle
2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 10:30 – 11:00 AM
Join us at the library for music fun with your child! We will dance, sing, wiggle, play, and jam to music tailored for our little locals. We’ll tap to the beat with sticks, shake our maraca eggs, dance with scarves, and learn new songs and dances. We can’t wait to jam out with you!
