Hartland Vermont – Books, Magazines, Downloadable AudioBooks, Reading Programs



The Hartland Public Library is looking to hire a part-time summer intern to assist the Children’s Librarian with youth programming and community forums.

The ideal candidate will be a high school student residing in Hartland who enjoys working with young people and enjoys reading. This is a paid internship beginning June 15, 2021. (There is some flexibility on start date.) Hours are flexible but some evening work will be involved.

Thursday Books & Crafts

Come to the library to talk about your favorite book and create! Crafts include Sharpie tie-dye, weaving, sewing, coloring, and more! This is for youth in grades 7 and up.

July 6 – 16: Hartland Pet Show! 

Email or bring a picture of your pet to the library so we can put it on our Pet Show display. Make sure to share your pet’s name and your contact information so we can contact you about your prize!


July 20 – 30: Vote for the Largest, Smallest, Cutest, Grumpiest, etc… pet.

Prizes for all!


July 21 – 10:30 AM “Wildlife Tales” with Southern VT Natural History Museum

Come listen to animal tales from the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum! This program is paid for in part by a grant from the VT Dept. of Libraries. All ages welcome!
